Be a Councillor evening

Calderdale Liberal Democrats are looking for people who would like to stand for us as Councillors.

Have you ever thought about becoming a Councillor? Representing your local community is one of the most rewarding experiences you can have. Is your concern the state of the local park, the need for more activities for young people, improving services for older people, making the roads safer or ensuring that local businesses can thrive?

Whatever needs changing in your neighbourhood, you could be just the person to change it by becoming a local Councillor. No other role gives you a chance to make such a huge difference to the quality of life of people in your local area.

We need to select candidates to contest all 17 wards in Calderdale. Some of these wards will be our target wards where we will be mounting full campaigns. This evening is a chance for our members and potential members to come along and find out more about being a Councillor and the application and selection process. More information: see Stand for what you believe in.
